To my readers,

My name is Dawn Marie. I am from Edmonton, Alberta. I have set on a journey to share the story of my life with the world in hopes of finding and helping others like myself. It is a sad story of extreme childhood sexual abuse that span’s the better part of a decade until it ends in a pregnancy and the birth of a baby from a 14-year-old child.

Some may ask “why am I doing this? “……… and the answer is simple. My prayer is that someone whom has lived through the same type of abuse that I have will hear my voice in the darkness. I know there has to be others out there like me, like my daughter, living with the after affects of this destructive form Childhood Sexual Abuse.

The abuse truly has taken a toll on my heart and soul as it has been a very lonely journey, never having anyone to ask…

     “how did you feel when you realized you where going to be giving birth to a child that you were forced to conceive? “How did you decide not to get an abortion or to give the child up for adoption? and how have you coped with those decisions a quarter of a century later”.

I have wished every day and every night for as long as I can remember that there was a place I could go and there would be someone there to talk to that had also been though what I had, but truth be told there was and is no such magical place. A quarter of a century later I am still searching for that one other person out there and still have had no luck finding them. Because of that, as I approach 40, I have vowed to set out to find others like me who are still suffering and hiding in the darkness of such evil. To shine a light of hope. Childhood Sexual abuse is something no child should ever have to experience.
