2018 Fundraising Campaign –

In Support of Little Warriors and The Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family
Brave enough is starting a 8 month fundraising mission. Starting March 3, 2018 Brave Enough will be selling Believe window clings and decals in communities across Canada. The profits from the sales will be donated to Little Warriors Organization. All of this will be leading up to our event in the fall.
On November 3- 2018, Dawn Marie from Brave Enough is hosting a fundraising event at Blackjacks Road House in Nisku, Alberta. The event will include an evening of music and comedy. The goal of our mission is to raise one-hundred and fifty thousand dollars for The Little Warriors Organization, specifically the Be Brave Ranch. (http://bebraveranch.littlewarriors.ca/)
The Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family is a long-term treatment center focused solely to help children who have been sexually abused, as well as their families. The Be Brave Ranch program (supported by Little Warriors) offers these children a place to heal and helps to increase their chances of growing into healthy adults. Clinical supports are offered to children and their families for one full year. However, this program is not government funded in any way – Not provincially or federally ! It is one of the main reason I am so passionate about helping them.
The other reason is that I am a survivor myself, as are many in our province. Over the course of the last 18 months, I have released a written book about my life as a child through my blog, with the main goal of starting the conversation about child sexual abuse.
Since the #MeToo movement it has become increasingly harder to have my voice heard because I am just a regular person. Just a regular person that this horrific thing happened to as a child. I do not have the platform that the celebrities do.
So it is my goal to help other regular people have a voice, and be heard.
But in order to do so I need Your help Canada!
AND THIS IS WHY ….
Right now in Canada, there are a little over 6 million children between the ages of 0 to 19 years of age. Statistics say that one in three girls and one in six boys between the ages of 0 to 18 will be sexually abused.
That means there are approximately 1.3 MILLION CHILDREN who have been abused or who are being abused right now in our country!
This is completely unacceptable! The number of children being harmed is unthinkable. We must do better. We must as a society do what we can to help these children to have a voice and to help them heal. Events like our fundraiser – raise funds for children and their families from all over Canada to receive treatment at the Be Brave Ranch. They also help support The Little Warriors Awareness Campaign.
