MYTH:

Sexual assault usually occurs in a dark, isolated location.

REALITY:

More than half of all sexual assaults take place in the victim’s own home, or within 1.6
kilometres of it. Another 20% of sexual assaults happen in the home of a friend, neighbour or relative.
