A Moment with the Author…. (20/73)

 

Hello to my dedicated readers,

I wanted to take todays post and share a moment that happened to me this morning as I awoke for work.  I made my morning coffee, sat down in my dining room and did what we all do. Picked up my phone. As I was sitting there looking on my twitter feed. I saw something that really put a smile on my face and made my morning for me.

It was a message from an awareness campaign called the #polishedman.  As I drank my coffee and watched the video, I thought to myself….” Thank you, I needed that”. There are moments that I still ask my myself why I am telling the world about my life. Last night I had one of those moments.

Seeing that video this morning reminded me why I am doing this. To bring awareness to this horrible form of abuse. We can only change the future by talking about it. It is time to break the silence. So I would like to thank #polishedman for reminding me that I am a survivor and that I am not the only one out there trying to break the silence! Your support was felt all the way in Edmonton, Alberta Canada today. So thank you!
